Horse Neck Bourbon Frozen Slush

Horse Neck Bourbon is a great choice to make a boozy slush treat. The Horse Neck Bourbon Slush offers a refreshingly unique take on a summer favorite. It's a sneakily potent drink that doubles as a frosty dessert, and it’s really easy to make. The hardest part will be eagerly waiting for it to freeze. But, be assured, it will be worth your wait!


  • 1 cup sugar
  • 6 cups water; divided
  • 12 oz lemonade concentrate
  • 6 oz of orange juice concentrate
  • 2 cups tea (from 2 tea bags)
  • 1.5 cups Bourbon (your choice)
  • 2 cans of Horse Neck (12oz ea.)
  • Choose a favorite (works great with any flavor):
    • Ginger Ale
    • Mule Spice
    • Cherry Rye
    • La Paloma


  1. In a small saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Add the tea bags and allow to steep for 10 minutes. Discard the tea bags. Stir in the sugar until it dissolves.
  2. Combine the 2 cans of Horse Neck, bourbon, lemonade, orange juice, tea mix, and remaining water in a blender.
  3. Pour the mixture into a large, sealable freezer bag. Make sure to press out as much air as possible before sealing.
  4. Lay the bag flat in the freezer and freeze for about 2 hours.
  5. After 2 hours, massage the bag to break up the frozen mixture. Repeat every hour for the next 2-3 hours until the mixture is a slushy consistency.
  6. Scoop the Horse Neck bourbon slush into a tumbler glass, garnish with a slice of orange, and top with some Horse Neck if desired.
